Hope is a charity pattern. It is free to download, however, if you like it, you might want to consider a donation for a charity organisation. You will find the details in the PDF.

The shape of the shawl is not a classic triangle, because of its construction the upper edge is slightly crescent.

The pattern was inspired by beautiful hand dyed yarns. When used to knit shawls, they form lovely stripes of colours. I wanted to reach similar effect, not with colours, however, but with stiches, knitting “more lacy” and “less lacy” sections.

There are two versions of the pattern, both are fully charted and instructions for both are given.

The pattern is quite simple, suitable for beginner lace knitters. I have tried to do my best to make it as clear as possible but if you find anything unclear or if you come across any mistakes, please contact me on Ravelry. I’ll be happy to help and correct

October 6th:
A corrected version is available.
