HOPE + SUNSHINE SOCKS
were designed for a breast cancer fundraiser collaboration with Thread & Maple and Louie & Lola Yarns in October 2022/

I was inspired by the twist of the pink breast cancer ribbon to create a fun sporty cabled sock that would be part of an initiative to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Pattern Highlights:

  • sock is knit top down
  • pattern is written for magic loop style knitting, but has notes for adapting to use DPNs
  • pattern includes a heel flap and gusset but feel free to substitute your favourite fitting heel
  • pattern has both charted and written instructions
  • remember that cabled fabric does not have as much stretch as stockinette or ribbing. You may need to go up a needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
  • video links for techniques used are included
  • this pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit by amazing knitters. Thank you all!
