The hope beanie is knitted in the round with a folded, ribbed brim and stockinette body. There is 3 rounds of decreases before finishing off the beanie. It is knitted from the bottom up. Length of the ribbing or body can be adjusted by a few cm depending on personal preference and desired look of the beanie. Stitches used are knit, purl and knit two together. The pattern is suitable for experienced beginners.

Recommended yarn: 100 g Andes by DROPS Design (100g, 90m)
Recommended needles: 9 mm double-pointed or circular (using magic loop)
Gauge: 12 sts x 17 rows = 10x10cm in stockinette on 9 mm needles

I came up with the pattern when I decided to knit hats for charity. I am providing this pattern entirely for free in the hopes that it inspires others to knit a hat for themselves and/or a hat for charity - for example, for a local homeless shelter.
