Hope for Lizzie
I found out recently that a young mother I know in California has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I wanted to do a prayer shawl that would be suitable for her climate. The cotton-acrylic lightweight blend of the Scheepjes yarn is just perfect for this wrap. But, don’t let that deter you from using any yarn of your choice. The two row repeat of this pattern will work with any yarn of your choice. Simply choose a hook size to give your shawl the drape you wish the fabric to have and crochet until it is the size you want.
Thanks, y’all!

For the second group of patterns, I experimented with Lion Brand Mandala. To my great pleasure, this ended up being a one skein project with a size H hook. Tassels and all! An extensive steam blocking gave me the lightness of fabric that I wanted for springtime wearability, but is not necessary at all!
