Hoppy Vest
The Hoppy Vest is designed to be a light layering piece, perfect over a thin T-shirt, blouse or a turtleneck in spring, fall and winter. It has a slightly fitted silhouette, so I recommend choosing a size with approx. 5-6 cm (2-2.5 in) of positive ease compared to your actual chest circumference.
Construction Notes
• The Hoppy Vest is worked bottom-up, starting with the waist ribbing and continuing to the shoulders.
• From the underarm, steek stitches are added and the armholes are shaped while working in the round.
• At the neckline, steek stitches are added again and the neckline shaping is worked in the round.
• After finishing the neckline, the front and back shoulders are worked flat separately.
• Short rows are used to shape the shoulders.
• The shoulders are joined, the steek is reinforced, and then cut open.
• Armhole and neck ribbing are picked up and worked.
• Finally, the steek stitches are sewn down to finish the vest.
