All the patterns in the book were part of a design project supported by the Glasgow School of Art and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The project brought together knit, weave and print textile artists to create new patterns inspired by the sounds of the Scottish landscape.

The Horse cardigan pattern is a garment inspired by the sounds of horses walking through the woods of Loch Ness. The cable pattern is a textured outcome of this brief moment by the Loch.
