I have grown up going to our local Hot Air Balloon festival every year. This year It was great to have 4 generations going to the festival at the crack of dawn when the fog is still on the ground and daylight is starting creep in and the temperatures are a bit chilly. Of course I knit while watching the balloons fill, stand and take flight. After this years chilly morning I wanted to make a hot air balloon hat but could not find one, so I made my own.

The finished dimensions of this hat are 17”wide and 9” high.
