SUPPLIES:

  • 3 mm (US 2) crochet hook
  • tapestry needle
  • yarn calling for 3.5mm to 4mm hook (Sport weight yarn) I used Schachenmayr Catania (cotton), and Schoeller Stahl Limone (cotton)
  • fiberfill stuffing
  • 1 polystyrene ball of 4.3 inches (11 cm) diameter
  • 6 black glass beads (or plastic safety eyes) of 4 mm diameter
  • 1 pair of 4mm safety eyes

NOTES:

With a 3mm hook and Sport weight yarn, the hot air balloon will measure 4.3 inches (11 cm) diameter and 8.6 inches (22 cm) total height.
