This rectangular stole is knit in one piece starting with the first border, which is knit sideways. Stitches are picked up from this border and a lace panel is worked, followed by the centre portion of the shawl which can be done in a choice of 2 different lace patterns. The larger size can be done in either pattern, but the smaller size must be done in the second pattern. When the centre is complete, the final lace pattern is worked. Lastly a knit-on edging completes the stole.

This stole is inspired by my favourite Echinacea in our garden, “Hot Papaya”. It can be worked in long colour gradient, set of mini-skeins, or a solid coloured yarn.

Both Charts as well as written instructions are included.
