A cosy hot water bottle cover made to fit a standard 2 litre hot water bottle that is approximately 33cm x 20 cm.

For the front of the cover, you will make 6 motifs and then you will square them off whilst joining them continuously. If you are not comfortable with this method, there is an optional round included to square off your motifs and then join each one using a whip stitch.

The back is worked as a granny stripe, alternating colours.

Gauge swatch is important as you may need to go up or down a hook size to make the cover snug depending on your tension.

You can use any DK yarn you wish, acrylic or cotton and you will roughly need around 50-60g of 2 different colours. I used a variagated yarn and a contrasting plain yarn.

The cover is finished with pom poms so you may wish to use a small pom pom maker or you can make them using a fork like I did. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to make them with a fork but this is not included in the pattern.
