CONSTRUCTION: The hot water bottle cover is knitted from the bottom up. First, increases are made after the cast-on to achieve a good shape. Next, one of the five different stitch patterns is worked. After the pattern is knitted, decreases are made to fit the cover to the top edge of the hot water bottle. The neck of the hot water bottle cover is worked in a 2 x 2 rib pattern, which provides a pleasant elasticity.
