Patty Lyons

A mock houndstooth fabric is created with a simple slip-stitch pattern. The menswear styling is tweaked with gentle waist shaping.

The pattern pdf includes a free video tutorial for my 3 row buttonhole.

Finished Size 30 (34¼, 36½, 41½, 44¼, 49¼)” bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 34¼”, modeled with ¼” of positive ease.

Yarn Classic Elite Yarns MountainTop Vista (50% superfine alpaca, 50% wool; 100 yd 91 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #6077 seal (gray, MC), 8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 11) skeins; #6016 alabaster (white, CC), 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6) skeins.

Needles Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm). Size 6 (4 mm): 40″ circular (cir) needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); removable m; tapestry needle; five7/8″ buttons.
