This basic beanie is a bit long for a slouchy effect and is a great introduction to two-stranded color work. You will need two colors of worsted weight yarn, 105 yards of the main color and 65 yards of the contrast color to make an adult sized hat. I used a 16-inch cable needle to start and a set of double-points to finish, but you could do the whole hat with double-points if you wish. I am working on variations of the hat for different yarn weights and finished hat sizes.
Any proceeds from the sale of the pattern will go towards providing eyeglasses for those in need in Oregon. I am a member of the local Lions Club, and this is my pet project.
