I am not keen on working swatches myself - I prefer to have something usable as a result.
And knitted balls are nice as decorations and much appriciated as small gifts.

So, when the knitting technique allows, I chart up (part of) the motif and knit a swatch ball :smiley:
And as others seems to have the same interest, I have been asked to do this tutorial

NOTE: Swatch balls in photo is mainly knit to find the best color combi for a sweater for my son, “Det Vaares”, designed by Kari Hestnes and shown as an example.
