Just a simple free pattern to make a Hufflepuff First Year Hogwarts scarf. I’ve also included in the pattern some of the yarns and colors I’ve used for scarves representing other Hogwarts Houses in case some of your friends and family want their own. I’ve used about one skein each of the two colors for every scarf, and had enough to make tassels even after making scarves over seven feet in length. Still, this is pretty adjustable- if you want it longer, grab more yarn and keep going! Want it shorter- just stop when you get to the length you like. The gauge isn’t make-or-break here, so if you’re a beginner at crochet this is a good project. It’s especially good if you want want lots of practice for stripes!
Make sure you have your hook, a needle to weave in your ends, and, of course, your yarn in your house colors. I do use stitch markers to help mark where I attach tassels (which are totally optional), but they are not required.
