This pattern design won 3rd place in the 2017 TKGA Design Contest. The Hug Around the Neck cowl was inspired by my favorite season fall, bringing cooler temperatures and football season, and by the old song A Bushel and A Peck, which I sing to my grandson at bedtime. A full winter coat is not needed in fall, but it’s nice to wrap up in something cozy and have the option of a hood. The color of the yarn reminded me of fall even before I saw the name, Autumn Drift. A wooden shawl pin, wooden toggle buttons and leather trim were chosen to compliment the color of the yarn.
A unique feature of this hooded cowl is that the hood is removable. The hood can be worn hanging down, worn up on the head, or can be removed.
