Level skill – intermediate.

Hugging Leaves sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. After the turtleneck is done, then the colorful rounded briocheknitted leaves yoke is worked top down to sleeve separation. Sleeve sts are placed on hold to work the body first down to the hem. Then sleeve sts are picked up again to work the sleeves in the round top down.

Brioche knitting is a simple multicolor technique where you can mix your favourite colors and yarns - to be unique and playful!
Two-color brioche is reversible and results in like two different jumpers - You can wear both sides.

Jumper SIZE: 3/4 y (98/104cm), 5/6y (110/116cm). 7/(y (122/128), 9/10y (134/140).

YARN:
MC yarn: Drops Merino Extra Fine (50 grams / 1.76 ounces; 115 yards /105 meters.).

CC color: Katia Andes alpaca (50 grams / 1.76 ounces; 109 yards / 100 meters).

YARN CONSUMPTION – MC color: 100g - 100g - 150g - 150g and CC color: 200g - 250g - 250g - 300g

NEEDLES:
16” (40cm) and (60cm) 24“ circular needle and DPN’s US 4/ 3.5mm; and US 2/ 3mm for rib.
If you are loose knitter – I recommend at first part 2,75 mm/US 2 circular needles.

OTHER TOOLS:
Tapestry needle (in ends); stitch marker (if you need) for marking beginning of the round and pattern repeatings; cable needle (for decreasing stitch (br4stdec)); stitch holder.

GAUGE:
Brioche - 18 sts x 26 rows = 4“ 10cm.
Note: One MC and 1 CC round together counted as one brioche round.

Garter part – 20 sts x 36 rows.
Note: alpaca yarn isn’t so stretchy than merino yarn! Consider that.

3/4y and 5/6y have two “floor” leaves and 7/8y and 9/10y have 3 floor leaves.

I’m quite thight tension knitter and deffenetly follow gauge.
