HULDA is a lovely little weasel yearning to snuggle you in style!

This keyhole-style cowl is a fresh take on the classic stoat stole accessory; a weasel pelt (or two or three) with the head and feet intact that was very popular to wear in the 1950s. Fur stoles are still commonplace in fashion today, but the
styles are continually changing and the use of faux fur is often the material of choice.

Hulda is worked in two main parts, beginning with the nose / head and then seamlessly working the center cowl. The legs and sides are then added by a combination of casting on and picking up stitches. Finally, the ears are added using the forethought method. Use a plied, sturdy yarn to obtain a cowl that will yield a ruffled edge and use a single, or drapey yarn for a more relaxed cowl with little to no ruffles.
