With this pattern you can make a basic human figure which you can alter and accessorize as you wish. It is a fairly simple, non-gendered shape with no features, but with shaping on the body and limbs, and more in proportion than amigurumi usually are. You can insert pipe cleaners/wire to make it poseable, and you can attach it to a base so it can pose like an artist’s manikin or a statue (I have also included details to make a sword).

The pattern is quite straightforward and suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written in English using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making it.

Materials:
Use double knitting (DK) weight yarn (3: light). Worsted weight yarn is a little thicker than DK but can easily be substituted and the pattern will still be in proportion, though you may need to use a little more and go up a hook size.

Figure: approx 50g yarn.
4 Pipe cleaners, or equivalent amount of wire.

Base: approx 30g yarn.
Thick and thin cardboard.
All-purpose clear glue (suitable for gluing cardboard and fabric/yarn).

Sword: small amount of yarn.
Thin piece of plastic, such as a drinking straw.

You will also need:
Stuffing.
Stitch marker.
Tapestry needle.
Round headed pins.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).

Finished size of figure approximately 20 cm/8” tall, base approximately 7 cm/3” tall.
