NOTES:
To start this project, you will be making all of the food pieces FIRST, and then, afterward, making the caterpillar for the food to go inside. I found that making the caterpillar afterward is easier, so you can adjust size and add more length if you need more room.

I am a stay at home mama of two rambunctious boys at home, and between keeping an eye on them and trying to crochet myself, I do it the “slst, ch1” way at the end of each round so I don’t have to keep as close of a count of the stitches in each round. This method can create a small seam in your work. I personally think it’s barely noticeable, but if you don’t want a small seam in your work, then you would continue in a round and use a stitch marker; you would not “slst, ch1” at the end of each row.
