This pattern has got to be one of the easiest crochet hat pattern you will find. It can be done in one evening by a beginner.

My sister-in-law asked me to make the Lion Brand Easy Stripes pattern hat for her husband, but I ran into some beginner problems. I made him a similar hat (see Widney Crochet Hat).
