This “hybrid sock” could be alternatively called a yoga sock, or ankle warmers, or (short) legwarmers. The important feature is that they have a stirrup and are designed for ballet dancers, and as such fit over both technique shoes (or bare feet) and pointe shoes.

These were made for a girl whose name sounds like Tea Rose, include three types of ribbing, and were inspired by three different patterns.

The picture given is on a size 8 (US) foot, with an ankle that belongs to a 5’8” woman. However, it also fits on a smaller foot/ankle.

Adjustments to cast-on stitches and row repetitions are possible for length/width customization. I tend to knit loose so if you are a tight knitter you may have to add more stitches to get the same size.
