This cushion is worked using two strands of DK yarn held together, which results in a firm, dense fabric that will hold its shape well once a cushion pad is inserted. The background and leaves are worked in stocking stitch, with the hydrangea flowers being worked using a three-dimensional bobble stitch. Embroidered details are then added to the knitted fabric. Dawn Whitaker’s design uses the popular 220 Superwash DK from Cascade Yarns.
