The Hypnotist Beanie is named after the captivating swirls that come to a spiraling point in the crown. The color possibilities in this beanie are endless, and the stitch creates a subtle and enchanting texture. I could knit these all days excited to see how each color combination ends up, and they’re fast enough to be a staple for my vendor booths.

This pattern is easy on the hands, and easy to memorize.

SKILL LEVEL:

Confident Beginner

SIZE:

Average adult - but provides number of stitches to decrease or increase size as needed for your desired measurements.

MATERIALS:

Yarn- Super bulky weight 6, suggested yarn is Malabrigo Rasta.
Pattern uses approximately 2/3 of a skein for the MC, and 1/3 of the skein for the CC. You can easily get two hats out of two skeins or Rasta by reversing the colors.

Needles- US size 13 (9.0mm) and US size 15 (10.0mm). If you’d have interchangeable needles you can simply change only the right-hand needle when switching to the body of the pattern to make it easy on your hands for the textured stitches.

Other Supplies- Scissors, tapestry needle, Stitch Marker, XL pom (optional)

STITCH KNOWLEDGE NEEDED

Knit, Purl, Kfb, K2tog, SSK, basic stranded colorwork (making sure color is consistently carried on the top of the bottom).
