Hypotenuse Cruise is a seamless, fun to knit and completely reversible shawl.

It is originally designed for Wollmeise Pure. However, you can choose any other yarn weight or brand, but bear in mind that your required yardage and the size might differ. Yarns that will work wonderfully are Malabrigo Sock or Mechita, Tosh Merino Light, Hedgehog Skinny Singles or Sock, Manos del Uruguay Alegria, Schoppel Wool Finest combined with Zauberklecks, and many more. You will need a multicolored yarn and two semi solids or solids of a color, which is either in hormony with or represented in the multicolored yarn. You can increase or decrease the size as you like. For the version shown here I needed a full skein of multicolored Wollmeise Pure, 2/3 of the second, and 1/3 of the third color.

Hypotenuse Cruise is a modular knit. You will join the modules as you go, so no seaming is involved. For this particular shawllette I developed new methods to join modules that will provide beautiful seams. You will find ample new photo tutorials on these techniques as well as all the other more intricate stitches that go beyond the basics. This makes the Hypotenuse Cruise a feasible project for every knitter.

Even though Hypotenuse Cruise displays an intriguing architecture, it is a no-brainer once you have understood the principles. Of course, you will find written and charted instructions along with graphics to guide you through the knitting process.
