This stranded color work hat can be blocked to wear as a beanie or a beret. Use the colors charted for the version pictured or use the grey scale chart also included to dream up your own I <3 color combo. Depending on how you place your lights and darks you will spot at least 35 hearts on your hat.

The sample uses 5 shades of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift - you could knit the hat with as few as two colors or as many as--- well the sky’s the limit.

To enjoy knitting the hat you should feel comfortable knitting in the round with a circular needle and double pointed needles. Catching in floats and color dominance awareness are also helpful skills.
