In the pattern, the suggested yarn is a DK, I crochet on the looser side so I usually make this top using an aran weight yarn. Either option is acceptable and I have made this top using both weights.

I made this top in a size small, and the base instructions are for a size small. But, this pattern is easily adjustable to other sizes, and I provide some help in the pattern on what points you would need to adjust for size adjustments.
