Make an adorable ice cream sandwich crossbody bag with this crochet pattern! This bag has a zipper closure, and is made holding 2 strands of yarn together for most of the pattern. It can hold your phone, keys, wallet, chapstick, and whatever other small things you need. Change up the facial features and colors to make a unique ice cream sandwich of your own! Or copy mine cuz it’s cute as heck.

Pattern level: Intermediate. The crochet itself is simple, but there are a lot of parts to sew on, including the zipper, so a higher experience level is recommended. However, I think a beginner could tackle this with hard work! This pattern also requires blocking.

one size, approx 5.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall

Materials needed:

  • dk (weight 3) yarn - 2 strands held together for most of the project (I used WeCrochet’s Wool of the Andes which is listed as a worsted yarn, but it’s really not)
  • 4mm hook
  • yarn needle
  • 9 inch zipper
  • sewing thread & needle, plus some pins or clips
