This cap is quick to make and is adorable for those special newborn photos or as a way to make even the simplest outfit look more than cute. You can customize it to look like your favorite ice cream sundae by substituting other colors for the white ‘ice cream’. Yummy!!

The pattern uses the following stitches – chains, single crochet, double crochet, front-post double crochet (directions in pattern) and slip stitches. The front-post stitches give the appearance of little rivers of ice cream melting down the sides!

The body of the hat is made with bulky yarn and the brim is made with regular worsted weight yarn. The pom pom can be made with any type of yarn.
