As soon as I saw the “Ice Skating Party” colourway from Stranded Dyeworks I knew the design had to be something related to Ice skating too, so I chose a simple cable pattern to symbolise the lacing up of the ice boots along the back of the mitts. Of course, the mitts don’t have to be knit up in this colourway – just as you can get ice skates in just about any colour, you can make the Ice Dancing Mitts in whatever colourway you choose!

They are a relatively quick and simple knit, and would make a lovely gift. I do hope you enjoy knitting these, and maybe even gifting them to someone in your life who is a would-be ice dancer!
