Ice Flora is a modern crochet blanket pattern inspired by frost flowers and icy window patterns. Repeating mosaic squares create a crisp, snowflake-like motif with beautiful texture and depth.

The pattern is written for experienced crocheters and combines mosaic crochet with textured stitches to create an eye-catching, graphic design.

This crochet pattern includes:
• A mosaic crochet square with a frost-flower / snowflake inspired design
• Step-by-step written instructions in US crochet terms
• Round-by-round photos
• Photo tutorials for key techniques
• A traditional crochet chart of the mosaic square
• Instructions for joining squares using flat single crochet
• A simple, clean edging to finish the blanket
• Tips for seamless joins and invisible finishes
• Video tutorials for selected tricky rounds and techniques

Pattern details:
• Skill level: Advanced / Experienced
• Yarn: DK weight yarn, two colors
• Construction: Motif-based blanket, fully size adjustable
• Colorwork: Only one color per round – no color carried across rounds

Previous experience with mosaic crochet is an advantage but not required.
Detailed instructions, charts, and tutorials are included for the mosaic sections.

The blanket size can easily be customized by changing the number of squares, making Ice Flora suitable for baby blankets, throws, or larger statement pieces.

Skeins needed without edging (examples)
Using Drops Karisma or similar yarn:
Baby blanket: approx 4 white + 5 yellow
Lap blanket: 5+6
Throw: 7+9
Large throw; 11+17

Additional 1-2 skeins for the edging + 1 extra of each color to ensure sufficient yardage.

Size examples
4 × 4 squares = approx. 80 × 80 cm (31.5 × 31.5 in) – baby blanket
4 × 5 squares = approx. 80 × 100 cm (31.5 × 39.5 in)
5 × 6 squares = approx. 100 × 120 cm (39.5 × 47 in)
6 × 8 squares = approx. 120 × 160 cm (47 × 63 in)

Yardage can vary depending on yarn used, tension etc…
