Icelandica Shawl is shown in unique Beiroa yarn manufactured in Portugal from the wool of Bordaleira Serra da Estrela sheep.
I choosed colour way 688 Ocean, and in middle of knitting i was pretty sure with a shawl name: the colourway of Beiroa yarn and how it looks like in knitted piece reminds me on Iceland - blue glacier and ocean, and dark vulcanic seacoast.
Beiroa yarn has wonderful lines of naturally darker color, and it feels incredible soft and velvety to the touch
Icelandica shawl construction is very flexible and give you full freedom to use your choice yarn type and weight , and also needles.
