YarnScout has a complete color selection of Lace Merino Aran in stock!

Remember those old fashioned icepacks you held on your head? Here’s a hat with that retro feel but totally in style with its multiple slouchy looks! Roll up the edge for a wide brim, or leave down for maximum slouch. The ribbed tie top provides an easy finish while adding a bit of flare. Body of hat is knit in a variation of farrow rib, creating a stretchy fabric. Stitch pattern looks great in variegated yarns, but solids would be a great choice to show off the stitch definition too!

Materials:
Ella Rae Lace Merino Aran, 2 hanks
Sample shown in color 106
16 inch circular needles, sizes 5 and 7 (or size needed for gauge)

Hat is one size, but the stretchy, slouchy style will accommodate most head sizes. Ribbed edge of hat is about 18” circumference, but stretches easily to 24”. Unrolled, the hat is 17-18 inches tall after blocking. Worn at right unrolled.
