This hat is worked in the round from the brim up, starting with a 1×1 rib and a fixed folded brim, followed by the body and lace pattern.

Size: One size fits most (55–58 cm / 21.5–22.8 in). Adjust by changing needle size or adding/subtracting pattern repeats.

Gauge: Measured with fabric relaxed, laid flat on a surface. Ribbing and lace pattern gauge are included in the instructions. Always knit a swatch before starting to ensure correct fit.

Materials:

  1. Katia Azteca Fine Lux, 52% Wool - 45% Acrylic - 3% Polyester, 100g/270 m (295yd), (color 405) - 1 ball; DK weight
  2. Lang yarn Cloud, 90% Extrafine Merino, 10% Nylon, 100g/260 m (284yd), (color 0009 ) - 1 ball; Chunky weight. • Weight: DK, Chunky.

Needles
• 3.0 mm and 4.0 mm (US 2½ and US 6), 16” (40 cm) circular needle for Katia Azteca Fine Lux;
• 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm (US 7 and US 8), 16” (40 cm) circular needle for Lang yarn Cloud.
For crown shaping, you will also need double-pointed needles (DPNs) or to use the magic loop method with the larger needle size.
