Worked from the top down, utilizing simple slipped stitches the “I’d Rather Dot” sock is the perfect relaxing pattern when you’d rather not do anything but knit the day away. Use up all those gorgeous leftovers in the slipped stitch stripes worked on the leg and foot, or pick 2, 3, 4 favorite (or team) colors… the options are limitless.

Measurements/ circumference: 6 (7 , 8) inches

I knit my socks (and wrote the pattern for) 3 colors but you can use as many cc colors as you’d like.

YARN
MC: 1 skein of Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Sock or 300-400 yards of fingering weight yarn
CC(s): 2 skeins of Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Smalls or 120 yards of fingering weight yarn

NEEDLES
I knit my socks with one (40 inch) circular needle using the magic loop technique. Testers used two circular needles, one 9 inch circular needle and DPNs. Use the method you are most comfortable with.

US 1.5 (2.50mm) for your preferred method of knitting in the round, or size required for gauge.

GAUGE
10 sts and 11 rows per 1 inch, in pattern, unblocked.

SIZE
Child (sm/med adult, lg adult)
Measurements/ circumference: 6 (7 , 8) inches
For correct sizing measure around the ball of your foot and knit the size that is 1/2 to 1 inch smaller than your actual measurement. To customize the pattern, cast on in multiples of 2.
