Ida Sweater
Ida Sweater is a classic oversized sweater with delicate slit details in the high ribbed neck and in the lower ribbed hem.
Ida Sweater is worked top down in stockinette stitch. Stitches are cast on using a provisional (open) cast-on. First, the upper part of the back is worked, then the shoulders of the front are worked — one shoulder at a time. The neckline is then shaped, and the two front sections are joined to form the front. At the armholes, the front and back are joined, and the body is worked in the round to the bind-off. Sleeve stitches are picked up directly from the armholes. The same applies to the stitches for the ribbed neckline, which are picked up around the neck opening.
