Ikara is a hood with an integrated scarf, ideal for keeping you warm in winter.
It is knitted in broken stockinette stitch with an i-cord all along the edge.

This hood is worked from the top down, flat and without seams.
You will start by knitting the top of the hood, then the head circumference, and each side will then be worked separately. The i-cord border is worked at the same time as the hood.

Material
• Filature de Valgaudemar, Sable (70% merino Arles, 30% angora, 164 yds/150 m. for 50g), 4 balls color Ecureuil or about 570 (656) yds/520 (600) m. of worsted weight yarn.
• 4.5 mm needles (US7) or size to make gauge
• 1 hook and scrap yarn for provisionally cast on

Gauge
19 sts and 28 rs = 4”x4”/10 cm x 10 cm in broken stockinette stitch (knit 3 rows, purl 1 row) and 4.5mm (US7) needles.

Sizes
1 (2) : for a head circumference of 19.5-21.5 (21.5-23.5)“/50-55 (55-60) cm.
I wear size 2 for a head circumference of 56 cm.

Elle est tricotée en jersey brisé avec une i-cord tout le long de la bordure.

Cette capuche est tricotée du haut vers le bas, à plat et sans couture.
Vous commencerez par tricoter la partie supérieure de la capuche, puis le tour de la tête et chaque côté sera ensuite tricoté séparément. La bordure en i-cord est tricotée en même temps que la capuche.

Matériel
• 4 pelotes de sable de La Filature de Valgaudemar (70% mérinos d’Arles, 30% angora, 150 m. pour 50g) couleur Ecureuil, ou environ 520 (600) m. de fil DK
• Aiguilles n°4.5 ou de la taille permettant d’obtenir l’échantillon indiqué
• 1 crochet et du fil pour le montage provisoire
• Aiguilles auxiliaires ou morceau de fil pour mettre les mailles en attente.

Echantillon
19 m. et 28 rgs = 10 cm x 10 cm en jersey brisé (3 rgs à l’end., 1 rg à l’env.) et aig. 4.5, échantillon lavé et bloqué.

Tailles
1 (2) : pour un tour de tête de 50-55 (55-60) cm.
Je porte la taille 2 pour un tour de tête de 56 cm.
