Join in this festive bauble fun and knit the official iKnit7 Holiday Bauble. You can hang yours on a tree, make a garland or use them as a gorgeous holiday centrepiece. You will be knitting in the round on a small circumference, increasing, doing some simple colourwork (or leave it out if you prefer a plain bauble), then decreasing to finish up. As these require very little time and wool, they make a great gift or stashbuster. Let’s get those needles going!

All proceeds for this pattern are being donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Materials Required
Yarn: Small amounts of DK, Worsted, or Light Aran weight wool in 2 shades

The red sample used Ginger’s Hand Dyed Pep In Your Step Worsted ‘Poison Apple’ (approximately 15 grams / 30 metres / 33 yards) and Halo Honey Aran ‘Avocado’ (approximately 3 grams / 7 metres / 8 yards)

The green sample used Ginger’s Hand Dyed Sheepish DK ‘Orange Blossom (approximately 12 grams / 27 metres / 30 yards) and Brigantia Luxury Aran ‘Natural’ (approximately 4 grams / 6 metres / 7 yards)

Recommended needles: 3.75mm for knitting in small circumferences; magic loop or DPNs

Gauge: Gauge is not super important here, and feel free to mix slightly different weights together. As you can see in the red sample, I’ve used a worsted for the main colour and an aran weight for the contrast.
