Ilana Camisole is a fitted tank top with a deep V neckline at the front and back. It is designed with a crop length, but the camisole is worked top down and you can adjust the length as you wish. The front and back sections are worked separately to underarms, then all four pieces are joined in the round and worked together. The pattern suggests making decreases after the bust, but you can skip them if you prefer a looser fit. All increases and decreases are delicately built into the cable pattern to create the perfect look of the camisole. This camisole is bra-friendly, goes well with many outfits, and it is fun and quick to knit.

Yarn:
Any cotton, linen, silk, or viscose yarn in fingering or sport weight with gauge 23-25 sts in 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch will work.
For example, Rosários 4 Madragoa, Lana Grossa Setapura, Austerman Magic Silk, Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, Tynn Line Sandnes Garn, Drops Safran, Summerlite 4ply by Rowan, and others.

Any of these yarns can be used for this pattern, but the fabric density will vary. Yarns with higher meterage will produce a lighter, thinner fabric with flatter cables, while those with lower meterage will create a denser, thicker fabric with more textured, voluminous cables.

For size 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8 ) you need approx. 330 (350) 375 (440) 500 (600) 700 (800 )meters/ 360 (382) 410 (480) 547 (654) 767 (876) yards.

Needles:
3-3,25 mm (US 2½-3) circular needles 23¾” (60 cm) length cable.

Gauge (after blocking):
26 stitches & 31 rows = 10 cm (4”) in the Cable stitch.

If you’ll get more than 31 rows in 10 cm (4”), you can increase the length of the straps and the body by adding repeats of the cable pattern without changing your rows gauge.
