I'm up, I'm up! Coffee cup sleeve
This is a great little stash buster. Good for all those scraps of yarn. If you don’t have enough of one yarn you can always use multiple colours.
Since these are easy to make and go quickly, they’re perfect to donate for school fundraisers, or quick, casual gifts.
The pattern is pretty basic, using back post double and single crochet. The ribbed texture will provide some cushioning and insulation from hot drinks. These can also double as wrist warmers once you’ve finished your coffee and recycled the cup!
I used less than half a skein of handspun aran weight wool, but any yarn of a similar gauge will do. Just adjust the number of stitches you cast on to make sure it’s not too loose.
I am making as many of these as I can for a benefit to raise money for Hopewell Music Cooperative North, a school that provides music lessons and instruments to underprivileged children and adults in Minneapolis. The pattern is free, but if you would care to make a donation (tax deductible) to Hopewell music, it would help bring music into the lives of many who would otherwise be without it.
