Revised pattern release: March 17, 2011

This pattern was tested in September/October 2010, and although sizes are generous, there is significant overlap of sizes. If unsure, knit the larger size, because nothing is better with a child garment than something that can grow with them.

If you would prefer to use worsted, I would swatch in order to get the correct gauge. But as rule of thumb, you could go up one needle size from gauge and knit one size smaller. HOWEVER, because this was not tested in worsted, I cannot guarantee correct sizes.
