The inspiration for the In Sync design was a stitch pattern in the book Knitted Lace (Kunst-Stricken). A collection of German lace designs, the book was written in the 1920’s by Marie Niedner and Gussi von Reden, and reprinted by Lacis.com

The stitch pattern used in the In Sync design is a simple but eye-catching lace pattern. A ‘zig-zag’ of lace columns synchronize with each other, with dots of lace in between for a bit of lacy fun.

The construction of the vest-style top is very simple, composed of two rectangles. The front section is one repeat wider than the back to create a better fit, and to allow the fabric to drape in a graceful scoop at the front neckline.
