In the Bag
Visit Untangled Yarn & Fiber in person from May - September 2023, and get this pattern free!
We all have use for more bags! Create a truly unique bag for your special cargo. The linen makes is strong and the silk makes it shine in the sun. What more could you ask for in a fashion accessory?
This bag is knit from the bottom up with two panels sandwiching a stiff but flexible piece of embroidery plastic mesh to give the bag shape. You can omit this insert if you wish for a less shapely bag. When constructing the bottom panels, Judy’s Magic Cast-on will put the lower border of the panel on one needle while the rest of the panel is knit from that point up with stitches added on the right and left side held on the bottom needle that will form side panel borders. After joining these panels, these live stitches will be then knit in the round to make the upper portion of the bag.
