Undulations of eyelets and purl ridges create pleasing texture and a sinuous edging. Whether worked up using DK held together with suri or mohair, or a worsted strand by itself, this cowl is soft, drapey and simple to knit for yourself or as a gift.

The cowl reminds me of a moth wing pattern- fitting that my first prototype was made using a variant of my Lepidoptera colorway.

A sister shawl, Look For The Light, will be available in April 2023.

Yarn used:
Approximately 100g worsted by itself or
100g of DK and 50g suri or mohair held together

All samples used about 170-210 yds of each yarn.

Worsted sample (light multicolor) used one skein of Aster Fiber Company, Worsted
DK/Suri sample (dark multicolor) used one skein of Aster Fiber Company, Composite DK in Charcoal held together with Plume (Suri) in Boot Stompin’.

These colors and more are available in kits on my website,

Needles:
US 9 (5.5mm) 24”
(if you are an extremely loose knitter, I would recommend using a US 7-8 instead)
