Yarn: 400 (800) yds / 366 (732) m fingering weight yarn. Sample knit using Nubby Fingering by Red Sock Blue Sock, 80% Merino, 20% Nylon Neps, in Josephine.

Size: US size 5 / 3.75 mm long circular needle for holding a large number of sts

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker

Gauge: 22 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements)

Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner

Construction: Heart-shaped triangle shawl knit top-down with garter stitch body and simple decorative eyelet spine with a slip stitch eyelet edging. Great for a first shawl!
