The disturbed individuals from Unhinged Knitter (dot com! Ooh, look! A plug!) are delighted to bring you a mitten chart that blends the traditional Norwegian mitten with quirky patterning. The charts are designed for worsted weight yarn, making them perfect for last minute gifts with original style. This is an individual chart, but be sure to check out our bulk packages and receive funky charts, plus bonus surprises! Not to mention you’ll save money that way. Good stuff, right?

Anyhoo, this is the single pattern and chart for the In The Hand Mittens. These sweet mittens feature some unique features in the charting. There are three hand charts- two for the palms and one for the back of the hand. The back of the hand is designed to be reversed, keeping the trunk of the tree along the thumb, whereas the two palm charts are slightly different, offering a complete image when knit on separate palms and held together. When worn, you can cup your hands together and hold the bird’s nest, filled with blue eggs. This is the first of what I hope will be a complete line of mittens with designs on the palms such as this. Keep checking back for new patterns!

Purchase this pattern using paypal for only 3 dollars (USD) and you’ll receive a pdf file in your email box within 24 hours.

Happy Knitting!
