All sales from November 15 through December 31 were donated to the ACLU. Thank you for helping to make this a better, more just place.

This pattern uses a simple slip stitch that keeps you going. As the slipped stitches swirl around the hat and cowl, the knitting almost carries you along with it. The result is an elegant, simple texture with a dramatic impact. It adds depth to a solid or semi-solid, but it also plays nicely with highly variegated yarns.

The hat has negative ease built into the pattern for a snug-fitting stocking cap; if you prefer a looser, slouchier version, go up one to two sizes.

The cowl is also designed to be somewhat close fitting for wearing with a thick winter coat without adding bulk. If you wish to make a wider cowl, add stitches in multiples of six.

The pattern has been test knit. If you find there are errors, however, please contact me.
