This pattern is available for free.

cardigan pattern are both complete
but the pattern is still a bit rough round the edges
i’m working on it

please check the tension
my first version was too big so i revised my pattern

basic cardigan with round neck and long sleeves
knitted top-down flat in simple moss stitch(seed stitch)
sleeves are set in, use short rows, and are worked in the round

button band is added afterwards by picking up stitches
i’ve added a zip and buttons at the bottom
i still need to add button-holes to the pattern

i used an angora cardigan as a lining
this makes adding a zip so much easier
it makes the cardigan warmer
(and hides all the loose ends inside)
and it added a hood

pockets are optional and knitted in the pattern
i need to add a photo with pocket edgings

finished cardigan measures:-
38” all round at under-arms
26” from neck seam to hem
(option to change length but may change amount of wool used)

uses bulky/chunky icelandic lopi wool
100m to 100g (109yds to 3.53oz)
tension of 12 st to 4”
7-8 balls

6.5mm circular needle (100cm) for body (or two long needles)
5.0mm circular needle (30cm long) for sleeves
