Errata: There was a small mistake in the original version of this pattern. In Row 1 of the Slip Stitch pattern, the stitches on the 2nd half of the row were listed as purls when they should’ve been knits. A corrected version of the pattern was uploaded 8/25/25.

Inspired by the colors of the Non-Binary Pride Flag and the shape of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly, this shawl will turn heads. It’s the perfect way to show off that lovely sock yarn you found at a craft store and don’t know what to do with. Finished shawl is 70” along the long edge and 35” along each of the shorter edges, but can be made larger if you do more pattern repeats.

You’ll need 1 skein each of Colors A and B but only about 100 yards of Color C.
