My sister is ‘infinitely busy’, finishing a degree, holding down two jobs and looking after hubby and two kids. I designed this cosy infinity cowl to keep her warm as she bustles about. This scarf has a honeycomb pattern for such a busy bee and ribbing, as she holds everything together so well.

The cowl can be knitted with a twist to give an ‘infinity cowl’ as shown in the photographs, or without the twist if you prefer. It is knitted in the round using circular needles. I didn’t block the scarf as I like the edges to curl over as shown in the photographs, but you can block it flat instead if you like.

You can use any Chunky (U.S.A. bulky) wool, you will need about 100g (170 yards) I used Wendy Skye Chunky in shade Hydrangea. You will need a 6.0mm (U.K. 4, U.S.A. 10) circular needle with cable length of at least 100cm

Circumference approx 160 cm (63 inches)
Width approximately 20 cm (8 inches)
Tension- over rib pattern 10 cm = 12 stitches wide and 20 rows long

Instructions are given to help you increase or decrease the circumference and increase the width if you wish.
